Who are
ASIFMA Education
and Training?
ASIFMA Education & Training is a division of ASIFMA (Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association), an independent, regional trade association with over 165+ member firms comprising a diverse range of leading financial institutions from both the buy and sell side.
To complement our core advocacy business, ASIFMA Education & Training develop and deliver education courses and training products for ASIFMA members and their staff. Our products are also available for non-members and individuals from select Asian jurisidictions for purchase.
All ASIFMA education courses and training products are developed after extensive member consultation so that they are “designed by and for the industry” and focus on financial markets across the Asian region.

ASIFMA’s mission is to harness the shared interests of the financial industry to promote the development of liquid, deep and broad capital markets in Asia.

Unlike other training providers, who provide either too global-centric or local-specific training, our unique focus is pan-Asian, supporting all our members.
Also, all of ASIFMA's education courses and training products are developed after extensive member consultation to help ensure they support our members' needs. An Education Steering Committee of staff from the ASIFMA member base helps steer and provide feedback on ASIFMA’s education and training activities, and an Education Advisory Forum of course participants gives first-hand user feedback on current products and future product ideas. We also establish special-purpose working groups of members when needed to help develop specific education and training products.
Meet the Team
Key Staff
Mike Chadwick
Mike Chadwick is Executive Director – Head of Education & Training at ASIFMA and is responsible for designing and executing the strategy for the development of the Education & Training division.
Mike is a senior specialist in financial markets, with over 25 years’ experience covering financial markets education, advocacy, standard setting, trading/sales, and asset management. Before joining ASIFMA, Mike spent 7 years at Australian Financial Markets Association (AFMA). At AFMA, Mike was the Head of Education, responsible for managing and leading the strategic development and maintenance of AFMA’s accreditation, education, and training programs to meet the specific needs of AFMA’s members. He also served as a Director of Markets, managing the operation of various market committees, and had policy responsibilities for AFMA’s energy markets related issues, particularly in the electricity and environmental products areas. Mike moved to Hong Kong in 2020, assisting both AFMA and ASIFMA in a consultancy capacity before joining ASIFMA in 2021.
